National Small Business Week Approaches – September 13 – 17, 2021!

To support our business community, the Loveland Business Development Center and Larimer SBDC are partnering to bring you some amazing events to grow your skills as a business owner, connect with other entrepreneurs and access business resources that are here to support YOU! Here’s a breakdown of all the great events we’ve got lined up – attend one or attend them all!

Business Bootcamps

These FREE half-day boot camps will help you dig into each topic and contain multiple presentations to help make the most of your time.

We’ll be covering important business basics to help you get your venture started on the right foot. When you attend, you’ll be introduced to the excellent resources available through the Larimer SBDC and LBDC and cover condensed versions of our most important startup classes.
Businesses should regularly re-evaluate their marketing over time – when was the last time you dug into yours? Over the course of this interactive session we’ll cover important marketing topics focusing on digital marketing and social media.

One of the biggest areas businesses struggle with is their financials, be it banking, accounting, or access to capital. Over the course of this session we’ll cover important financial topics covering important topics such as obtaining capital, reading your financial statements, budgeting and strategic planning based on your financials. After today, you’ll come away more aware of your business’ financial position and how to best leverage it for the future!

Finding and retaining talent are top concerns for business owners. What helps you attract the best candidates, and what should you be doing as an employer to keep employees and encourage performance?

Networking & More

Business is built on connections – both on other businesses who know you and the resources you’re aware of as a business owner!

Connecting with other business owners is one way to grow your business, but so is a solid understanding of your financials! Join us for networking at Grimm Brothers Brewhouse, paired with a great presentation from Mueller, Pye & Associates, CPA, who will be discussing the “3 Numbers Every Business Owner Should Know,” and how to quickly find and interpret this information to make business decisions.
STIR is a great place for young professionals to meet, share knowledge and grow their connections in the Loveland community, and this month they’re teaming up with the Loveland Business Development Center to bring young professionals and entrepreneurs together! Join us for networking and a presentation from LBDC Program Director, Kat Hart, as she discusses her experiences with “Intrapreneurship vs. Entrepreneurship: Finding Balance with Passion and Professions.”
Join us on Friday Sept 17th from 9 – 11am, and visit with local organizations who are committed to help our small businesses and entrepreneurs! Talk with economic development professionals, chambers of commerce, financial experts, workforce consultants, and many more. It’s an excellent opportunity to contact individuals who can help you take your business to the next level.
